RELIEF IS ON THE HORIZON FOR FLORIDA'S PRODUCERS

Florida Disaster Block Grant Program — Coming Soon Florida’s agricultural community powers our economy. After the 2023 and 2024 hurricanes, relief is on the way. The State of Florida and the USDA will soon launch a Disaster Block Grant Program to help agricultural producers hit by recent storms. If your agricultural operation experienced damage or loss during the 2023 or 2024 hurricane seasons, you may be eligible for assistance. For more information Key Dates • Application Opens: February 25, 2026 • Application Deadline: August 25, 2026 Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted What the Program Supports Eligible producers may receive financial assistance for: • Repairing or replacing damaged infrastructure (greenhouses, barns, irrigation systems, fencing, farm roads, etc.) • Crop and specialty crop losses • Citrus recovery efforts • Timber cleanup and reforestation • Other hurricane-related agricultural losses not fully covered by existing USDA programs Who Should Apply Florida agricultural producers located in designated disaster-impacted counties who experienced hurricane-related losses are encouraged to apply. Check Availability Don’t Wait — Apply Early Funding is limited, and demand is expected to be high. Producers are strongly encouraged to gather documentation and submit completed applications as soon as possible after the February 25 opening date.
