Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack .NET Software Engineer II to join our team and assist our senior developer in implementing new technological advancements within our growing company. In this role, you will contribute to both front-end and back-end development for various projects, providing opportunities to work with a range of technologies and to play a significant role in key software decisions. This position offers a personal office at our Winter Haven headquarters and a flexible schedule of 3 to 5 days per week.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate with the senior software developer to design, develop, and maintain all layers of our C# Windows and ASP.NET Core applications.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify bugs and inefficiencies to improve the quality and performance of software applications.
  • Communicate with employees and customers to understand, document, and address their needs for custom software
  • Write accurate, commented, organized code that meets project requirements and follows best practices.
  • Use source code version control and ticket tracking systems to document and prioritize changes.
  • Assist with protecting the confidential data in our databases or other data encountered as part of your role.
  • Assist with researching, recommending, and implementing improvements to development processes and techniques.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, our candidate must possess the following:
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with C# ASP.NET software development
  • Associate’s degree in a Software Development related field
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong aptitude for researching and proactive self-directed learning

An ideal candidate will have proficiency with the latest versions and features of:
  • C# for developing web, desktop, and console applications
  • ASP.NET Core, Razor Pages, Identity Framework, Entity Framework, LINQ
  • HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Visual Studio
  • Unit Testing and Continuous Integration
  • Git and GitHub
  • SQL queries for MariaDB or PostgreSQL
  • Building and deploying Docker-based web apps on Linux or Windows hosts
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure services
  • Windows PowerShell
  • Microsoft Excel formulas
  • Power User skill level with Windows 11
  • Experience with using AI tools to assist with programming tasks
  • iOS development experience is a bonus
