Florida and Georgia agricultural producers should prepare for freezing temperatures, as the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts lows at or below 32 degrees across key growing regions. In Florida, inland areas are expected to see temperatures drop into the low 30s by early morning, with some locations potentially reaching the freezing mark around sunrise. In Georgia, much of the state is forecast to experience temperatures well below freezing, with lows in the 20s and possibly upper teens in some areas. The cold snap poses a risk to a range of specialty crops currently in sensitive growth stages. If your crops are affected by the cold weather, please contact your agent or our office immediately.
