The Farm Service Agency (FSA) has announced changes to acreage reporting in response to COVID-19 business interruptions.
Important takeaways include:
1. The date of the initial acreage report submission has not been extended.
2. Signed acreage reports must be submitted in a timely manner by the acreage reporting date (ARD).
3. Reporting errors can be corrected by the approved insurance provider (AIP) up to 60 days following the ARD in a crop year.
This is a summary of the updates from the FSA. Additional information can be found on the RMA website by selecting the following: Manager's Bulletins
